The clocks go back one hour on the 30th October which will impact on your Night time change over. Here are some simple instructions to help change the times on your Samsung Telephone.

Changing the time & date on the entire Telephone system can be done from any Samsung handset with a digital display and it changes all the phones at the same time.

Leave the handset in the cradle and proceed as follows:

Press TRSF (Or the button with two handsets facing each other on the black & silver handsets above the red key)

Meet me page facility

The Meet Me Page feature is designed to make the operator's job easier and allow them to process calls with speed and accuracy.

It basically allows the user to receive an incoming call, make a page (internal/external) announce the call and wait, then be directly connected to the member of staff that needs to take the call anywhere in the building. Operators no longer have to search the office to locate a member of staff.

How to set it up

1 - Program a feature code in MMC 724 for MMPA and MMPG - e.g. MMPA = *0, MMPG = *1

2 - Or on the operator's phone, program a MMPG key

3 - When a call is answered by the operator they press the MMPG key, enter the page zone and announce the call, they will then be presented with an option on the screen to "wait for answer"

4 - The person to receive the call goes to any phone in the building and presses *0 (Meet me page Answer code)

5 - They will then be connected to the operator - if the operator now hangs up, the caller is put through to the member of staff

6 - If the member of staff does not want the call, they just tell the operator and hang up, the operator then automatically is put back to the caller

Caller ID to SLT

On the Samsung 7000 range you will now be able to present caller ID to analogue devices, this will however only work on analogue devices that are Caller ID compatible.

You are able to present internal extension names and numbers (as programmed in MMC 104 station names) and able to receive the incoming CLI of an outside caller, this will not pass on the clip translation or the DDI translation programming from the system. If you want a translation name you have to program it in the actual device.

(APR have tried and tested this on the BT Diverse 6210)

The only types of lines that this will work on is ISDN 2 & ISDN 30, this will not work on analogue lines.

The 7100 system has the ability to do this as a standard feature and just requires the relevant programming to turn the feature on. However, if you want this feature to work on a 7200 or a 7400 system you need to sell the customer an RCM Module which bolts on to the processor card (MCP or MP40)

How to set it up

1 - Go in to MMC 300 (this is per extension), go to the CID to SLT option and select 'yes'
